In this chapter we will see the hardware and terminal support by PM monitor. Let's start from hardware:

PC Host


The host PC is the computer on which PM Monitor will run.System resources require by PM Monitor depend to a great extent on the configuration system and the complexity of the state machines. IN any case, the performance of data collection system depends on the power of computer on which PM Monitor is running. Therefore,it is important to pay attention at hardware feauteres of Host PC.


NET Box


Currently,PM Monitor supports the following netbox:



PSLD


It consist of the TMC srl PLSD line adapter.Equipped with an RS232 interface for pc connection and connections for 2 RS485 segments;On each of these segments,up to 31 TMC compatible terminal can connect to the NET92 protocol (refer to the specific manual for more information).


EtherBox


Etherbox is a TMC srl interface connection between equipment equipped with RS485/RS232 connection and ethernet LAN.(refer to the specific manual for more information).


Virtual Terminal Service


Software module for VTRAX virtual terminal interface and all terminals that have a TCP / IP interface.
