PM MONITOR requires the following external elements for proper operation:

  • At least one project file (*.pmp) created with the DESIGN module
  • At least one terminal between the supported ones (which we will see later)
  • Have access to the PROMAN database


Launching the program:

At the first startup,the program display main form on the empty status page without indication of any connected terminal. Firstly,you must configure the options appropriately and then select the project from Project/Select project menu. From the dialog box,select *.pmp file of Proman project previously configured with the DESIGN module. At this point,the netbox and terminals for the PC host will appear in the system display.If no netbox/terminal displayed,the host pc has been properly configured. In this case you need to review the options or,through PM Plant Editor,you must review system configuration.

Start service

Starting communication service with terminals takes place through the project/start service manu option or the green toolbar button.The terminal communication service can start automatically at the PM monitor opening through the "Autostart service" option in the options window.

Stop service

Stopping communcation service with terminals takes place through the project / stop service manu option or the red toolbar button.
