2.0 Introduction
This manual describes the operation and characteristics of ProMan Design module.
Proman Design allows you to build custom project for terminal data collection applications with extreme speed.
The generation part of the state machines is based on templates.This is because in the world of data collection we find with very similar issues,solvable by the same algorithm.For example,checking the existence of a badge or an article code by displaying an error message is two problems that can solve with similar controls,so from the same template,making machine states much faster.Template usage also allows the user to write the machine states as if it were a list of requests,so very close to the human way of thinking.Before entering in details with the description of the properties and features of PM Design,it is best to have the definition of automa clear.
AUTOMA DEFINITION:
A Proman Automa contains the definition of the state machine and a set of information required for their execution.In detail this information cab group into two sections:
- Define connections to proman main database
- Define one or more state machines
In next chapters,we will see the various modes of composition of automa.
The Proman monitor module will execute the automa development with proman design. For each proman monitor application installed,you can run only one machine.This does not in any way limit the capabilities of system as proman automation can contain indications needed to run multiple state machine,so you can only use one proman monitor installation to collect data from multiple departments of a company with very different issues and types of data. The entire proman is in a single file. This feature allows you to copy,modify and install the automa machine in a very simple way.
